In case you want to buy an inverter and you do not know the size to
buy, maybe 20kva, 30kva or even more, there is a simple way to do the
calculation:
Assuming you have all these loads in your house
Fan 200w 220-240(v)
T.V 150w 220-240(v)
H.T 300w 220-240(v)
Light 80w 220-240(v)
Fridge 400w 220-240(v)
Freezer 150w 220-240(v)
All these hoe equiptments have the energy they consume written on them. You should first add them up
(200+150+300+80+400+150)w=1280w
the next step is to divide the sum by the power factor(0.6 or 0.8)
1280/0.8=1600va or 1.6kva
But you will have to give room for tolerance, for me i would recommend a 3.5kva inverter.
